Shattered Oak Series
During a visit to Sonoma's Bartholomew Park I encountered the outer bark remnants of a fallen oak limb. Very much entranced by the interior textures of the bark I began a series that utilized the enclosing nature of the limb fragments to create some visual dichotomies between the natural and the man made.
